One of the more bizarre individuals at St. Swithin’s is Freddie, a shy lad whose only way of being noticed is to show off his enormous prick, which he calls ‘Aeneas', because he is always ‘roamin’. He sets out to match the Don’s record of 1,003 seductions in the opera Don Giovanni, because almost everybody who sees Aeneas ready for action doesn’t want to go away with just a look. Freddie’s behavior is a little beyond St. Swithin’s wide behavioral limits, but he enjoys protection because the Headmistress and a couple of other members of staff are successful conquests. Myrtle, the school secretary, an unhappily unmarried woman of “a certain age,” decides to take a look at Aeneas herself and, like all the others, ends up taking more than a look. She enjoys the experience, but being a motherly soul without anybody to mother, is moved by the insecurity and loneliness under Freddie’s surface, and decides to indulge her desire for both mothering and sex.
