In “A Safari Guide Surrounded, “Noah, the safari guide in “Resuscitation,” is almost willingly used as a sexual slave by an Italian researcher. As a safari guide, he has many opportunities for sexual adventure, and on the current one, he is importuned by a brazen American teenager, whom he accepts, and her mother, whom he doesn’t. Feeling guilty about his weakness in yielding to the two women, and tired of being valued only as a sex object, he breathes a sigh of relief when he goes on leave to his village and his wife, both of which he loves deeply, and relishes two weeks as an African village headman, away from the strains of being a guide.
