About this audiobook

Why Do Ice Cubes Float? Lina pressed her fingers against the rim of the glass and tipped it just enough to watch the ice slide. Clink. One cube bumped the side and drifted back, bobbing near the top like a tiny boat. Water sloshed, cold and clear, touching the edge of the table where a thin ring had already formed. She leaned closer. The cube didn’t sink. Not even a little. Lina dipped a spoon into the glass and nudged it down. The cube slipped away from the spoon and popped right back up again, tapping the surface with a soft, hollow sound. "Why don’t you go down?" she whispered. Sunlight from the kitchen window stretched across the counter, turning the glass into something bright and wavy. Inside, the ice cube caught the light and held it, pale and cloudy in the middle. Rocks sink, she thought. She had dropped plenty into the pond last week. Big ones, small ones. All of them went straight to the bottom. But this—this just stayed up.
