A quiet and routine loving man named Oliver Pickles is accidentally cursed by an incompetent wizard, causing mildly magical inconveniences such as talking bread and an ever growing crowd of pigeons that follow him everywhere. With the help of a weary professor and a practical witch who runs a bakery, Oliver learns the curse feeds on his predictable daily habits and can only be broken by doing things that disrupt his routine. After eating cake before noon, dancing in the street, and finally quitting the job that kept his life repetitive, Oliver breaks the curse and discovers that a little chaos might actually make life far more interesting.
