Summary
Elara meets Corin, a mysterious man without a shadow, and follows him into a secret market beneath the city where people sell their shadows for desire or escape. Drawn to him, she discovers that shadows hold souls and secrets. When she steals one, the Keepers awaken to reclaim what was taken. Corin reveals he once traded his own shadow for lost love. Together they flee through a collapsing city of mirrors, facing false worlds and reflections that tempt them to surrender. Their love deepens as reality unravels, forcing Elara to choose truth over illusion. In the end, Corin sacrifices himself to restore balance, becoming a shadow to save her; proof that even darkness can love.
