In this alternative world president Nixon and the Senate cowed the press when things might have otherwise turned ugly for them and then kept on rolling making a few important changes along the way such as the Nixon Accords . So now it’s the money men in charge and being a lot more obvious about it and how they hand their favours out. So it was no great shock when in an effort to keep a senators homicidal daughters under control a new game was legalised under the disguise of population control. So now women of child bearing age may risk their lives for profit. One simple game of Blackjack and they end up either well off or dead within the hour. What fun!
