Ephesians is a letter, and a letter is meant to be read from the first line to the last. In six short chapters it answers the two questions most believers ask sooner or later: who am I in Christ, and how then should I live? It says you are chosen, adopted, forgiven and made alive by grace, that people who could hardly be more different are made one, and that you are meant to stand firm when life pushes back. Ephesians Bible Study walks you through the whole letter in six weeks, one chapter a week, in five short daily sessions (thirty in all). Each session gives you the passage from a public-domain translation, background on Ephesus and the early church, a plain explanation, questions to answer alone or aloud, one practical step and a short prayer. It is a single-book study with a daily rhythm and a leader's guide, not a survey of all 66 books, not a whole-Bible reading plan, not a marriage workbook and not a book of prayers and declarations. The armor of God is taught in its place, as the last step of a letter about standing in what you have been given.
