Summary
Voices of the Past is a serial that follows Abigail Lawson, the protagonist, who decides to take a trip after learning about a long lost map, in an attempt to bring out the concealed history of the city of Richmond, Virginia, and the part it plays in the Underground Railroad. Together with her friend James Monroe, she finds letters, maps, and photographs which show the unknown heroes - families living in the area who risked all to assist escaped slaves. The book plunges into the heartfelt story of exploration and celebration of the past and it has more to do with the heritage of courage and the loss of life and blood in an era of great injustice. They work to shed some light on the lost histories of the town, changing the shared memory.Book information
