Salt for the Sky follows Lira, the daughter of a salt merchant in a coastal town where the sky is slowly corroding like metal, causing the stars to fade and fall. Determined to save the stars, Lira begins crafting artificial heavens using salt and other materials to hold the sky together. However, her efforts reveal a deeper truth: the sky’s corrosion is part of a greater, inevitable change. Lira learns that instead of fighting against the decay, the town must adapt to the new reality. In the end, Lira’s resilience and vision inspire the people of Thalora to find a new way of living under a transformed sky, embracing the change rather than fearing it.
