Seriously just walk up to anyone, mention “seasonal influenza,” and watch them double over in giggles like you’ve said, “We used to heal fevers with frog soup and prayer.”
The flu vanished somewhere around 2089, along with colds, back pain, and the ability to call in sick because “I’m not feeling well.” Modern employers don’t buy that excuse anymore because well, no one ever is unwell.
