About
Summary
Luka Ivanov is supposed to take over his father's carpenter business in the little hamlet of Dubravka. But Luka wants to build bridges, not cupboards. People in the community think he is just a boy chasing silly dreams after he fails his first test. Luka starts the long, complicated process of regaining his knowledge and confidence with only his grandmother's faith, the frank advice of a retired teacher, and the loyalty of his best friend. However, his most significant difficulty is not passing another test; it shows his father and himself that he can make a future different from the one planned for him.
The Carpenter's Son is a touching narrative about family, tenacity, and following your ambitions. It reminds us that failure is not the end, but the first step in improving something.Book information
