'Sunday Under Three Heads' is a short pamphic written by Charles Dickens under the pseudonym Timothy Sparks. It describes the activities of the British society on Sundays. The book is divided into three parts: in the first part, Dickens criticizes the Puritan view of Sunday as a day of austerity and inaction; in the second part, he illustrates a picturesque version of Sunday as a day of rest and joy; and in the third part, he warns about the potential social harm of greedy legislation which plans to ban all business activities on Sundays.
