Dopamine is not presented as the villain, but as part of the brain’s natural machinery for motivation, learning, movement, and reward. The real case concerns how institutions learned to direct human wanting for profit and power. Through poetry, dialogue, satire, science, history, and lived experience, the book asks why some forms of relief are advertised while others are criminalized—and why the street is blamed for the final transaction while the larger machinery remains unseen. Nobody investigates. Nothing observes. The Reader decides: Does desire serve human life, or has human life been trained to serve desire?
