Summary
Hundreds of years after humanity resettled on the Moon, a man returns to Earth, hoping to find that the inhospitable conditions his ancestors fled are no longer. But when he encounters the descendants of the ones who had been left behind, everything he thought he knew and understood suddenly becomes meaningless.
From a winner of the 2021 Grist Imagine 2200: Climate Fiction for Future Ancestors contest comes another hopeful story about the climate crisis and a future that may not be as dark as we fear it will be.
