The Last Riff

About

By 2055, the world has gone quiet. Not silent: comfortable. Adaptive Audio blankets every room, Neural Music plays exactly what your heartbeat needs, and the loud, imperfect noise of rock and metal has been filtered out of existence. Nobody noticed. You can't miss what you've stopped hearing. The Last Riff is a trilogy about that loss, and the people who refuse to accept it. It begins with a witness: in When No One Needed Riffs Anymore, a man with a dead-stringed guitar documents how music disappeared. Then, in Caravan City, four strangers find musical artifacts carrying a sound nobody alive remembers. Recovering it will cost them. Keeping it will cost more. For anyone who ever felt a bass line in their chest, or still has a guitar hiding behind the winter coats. The last riff hasn't been played yet.
