Sophie Haydock is an award-winning author living in London. As a journalist, she has worked at the Sunday Times, Tatler, and the BBC and freelanced for the Financial Times, The Guardian, the Royal Academy of Arts, and Sotheby’s. She has interviewed such leading authors as Hilary Mantel, Maggie O’Farrell, Bernardine Evaristo, Sally Rooney, and Amy Tan. Passionate about short stories, Haydock has worked for the Sunday Times Short Story Award and is associate director of the Word Factory literary organization. Her debut novel, The Flames, won the Impress Prize for New Writers and has been longlisted for the Historical Writers’ Association Debut Crown award.
