Sone Yū is a Japanese writer and former science journalist. He spent over a decade covering emerging technologies before leaving the field under circumstances he still struggles to explain. Threshold is his first novel. He lives in rural Mie Prefecture, where he tends a vegetable garden alongside someone who once saw the architecture of electricity. He no longer asks why he stopped writing. The answer, he suspects, would not be his own.
