Jared is a stage 5 Kidney warrior and was diagnosed in 2021 following a routine blood test. His kidney function was just 3% and the doctors told him that if he hadn’t been diagnosed he would have died within two months.
As he was getting used to a new life on dialysis, he started suffering severe crippling pain in his lower legs. It turned out to be arterial disease, a result of his kidney problem’s being undiagnosed for so long. This had caused calcium build up in his arteries, causing them to reduce blood flow to his lower limbs.
