Manan completed his early education in Mumbai and Muscat, before pursuing a Bachelor of Technology in Mining Machinery Engineering at the Indian Institute of Technology (Indian School of Mines), Dhanbad.
Following his graduation, he gained professional experience working in the African region. Thereafter, he spent time in India, focusing on the digitisation of mining operations. His background encompasses both on-site operational exposure and the application of technology to improve mining processes.
