Majoros Sándor is a contemporary Hungarian author born in Bácskossuthfalva (now in Serbia) in 1956. He is best known for his short stories and novels and has won several major literary awards, including the József Attila Prize (2004), the Artisjus Prize (2008), and the Márai Sándor Prize (2011). Currently living in Budapest, Majoros began publishing stories in the late 1980s and has written prolifically since, often drawing on his Southern Hungarian roots.
