Duke Walton has spent 50 years writing fiction, hundreds of songs, and more poems than he can count—though he finally published his first book, The Underwood Chronicles & Other Stories, in 2025 with his longtime friend Pablo West.
Born in the cultural whirlwind of the San Francisco Bay Area in the ’60s and ’70s, Duke writes with equal parts grit, warmth, and a wink, believing that every story is a hitchhiker worth picking up. When he’s not chasing a melody or a sentence, he’s in pursuit of strong coffee and stronger conversation.
