Allan Hyde grew up with a fascination for how things work, from machinery and engineering to the stories hidden in old maps, books and forgotten places.
Those interests came together in The Architecture of Silence, the first novel in The Datum Series. Rather than focusing on high-speed action, Allan writes character-driven expedition mysteries where curiosity, history and careful observation uncover secrets that have been overlooked for generations.
He lives in Queensland, Australia, with his wife and continues to develop future adventures for David, Christel and Datum.
