What she finds instead is a custody hearing in August, a therapist's confidential evaluations that should never have left the room, and a colleague willing to trade a man's medical file for a story and then ask for a resignation letter by Friday.
This is a contemporary sports romance about an athlete who freezes when it matters most and the reporter who can prove it on paper, about a father with visitation rights and no leverage, and about the distance between a story that is true and a story worth printing. The romance is closed-door.
