In the quiet valley of Briar Hollow, Elias discovers that the ancient Moonroot Tree on the hilltop whispers mysterious warnings whenever the full moon rises. When the tree awakens a massive stone guardian sleeping beneath its roots, Elias and his sister Mara realize the creature has risen to defend the village from dark forest beings approaching under the cover of night. After the guardian drives the creatures away, it returns peacefully to its underground rest, leaving the villagers with the knowledge that the valley has always been protected by an ancient watcher.
