When Jack Turner discovers a mysterious map hidden in his grandmother's attic, he and his adventurous friend Lily follow it deep into the forest outside their small Colorado town. There they uncover a magical river that reveals memories from the past and possibly visions of the future. A greedy businessman attempts to seize the river's power, forcing Jack and Lily to defend the ancient secret. In doing so they discover that the river has chosen them as its new guardians.
