About this audiobook
This is a work of fiction. The massacre is not. On 6 July 1998 Indonesian security forces opened fire on Papuan civilians gathered beneath the water tower at Biak, and an unknown number were killed. Bodies recovered from the sea in the weeks that followed were attributed by the authorities to a tsunami which struck Papua New Guinea eleven days after the first of them came ashore. No autopsy was performed. No exhumation has ever taken place. No member of the Indonesian security forces has ever been charged. Names, characters and incidents either are the product of the author’s imagination or are used fictitiously, and any resemblance to actual persons, living or dead, is coincidental. The dates owe nothing to coincidence.
