About this book

Summary

In a future city where people’s memories are routinely “renewed” by a hidden regime, young archivist Ayla fights to hold on to scraps of her true life by writing them down in secret. Her search for answers leads her to Kieran, a fugitive who carries a map to the source of the theft, and together they descend into the forgotten tunnels beneath Lumeris. There they uncover the Vault, a vast storehouse where memories are harvested and stored by masked Collectors. Joined by a hidden resistance, Ayla and Kieran risk everything to break into the Vault and release what has been stolen. In a storm of light and returning names, the city awakens, its citizens regaining their histories and identities. Ayla emerges not only with her own memories restored but also with a new sense of purpose, standing in a world that is finally free to remember.
