Summary
The Dream Census follows Marcus, a government official tasked with collecting people’s dreams for a yearly census. This year, however, something goes terribly wrong. As he begins recording dreams, he realizes they are becoming more aware of his presence. The dreams grow stronger, more persistent, and begin to dream back, pulling Marcus into their chaotic, surreal world. As the boundaries between the waking world and the dream world collapse, Marcus finds himself losing control of his own identity. The more dreams he collects, the more he is consumed by them.
