Calvin shows the same gospel held out to the patriarchs under shadow and to us in clearer light, then turns to Christ himself: true God and true man, and his threefold office as Prophet, King, and Priest, fulfilled through his death and resurrection. Across seventeen chapters, this rendering carries Calvin's argument on sin, law, and grace into clear modern English for listening, preserving his section numbering and the full weight of his theology. Based on the 1845 Beveridge translation.
