Evan Hale, a former ice road driver haunted by a fatal accident, returns to the frozen north when a stranger named Tomas seeks help finding his lost twin brother. As a brutal storm traps them, they reach a secluded camp where ice watcher Lila warns that the road is dangerous and the ice remembers. Together they search for a heavy metal box believed to hold the truth. When the ice finally breaks, the box sinks, forcing Evan and Tomas to accept loss and carry the memory instead of answers.
