The story is set in ancient Egypt. At that time the gods rule mankind. Life continues after death in the spiritual world. Naguib is a slave and falls head over heals in love with a servant of his revered Queen. He experiences strong sexual and spiritual forces that elevate him above his fellow slaves and eventually make him a valuable resource in his temple.
Bea Eschen was born in June 1964 in Freudenberg, North Rhine Westphalia, Germany, where she grew up with her three siblings. As a young woman, she left Germany and went on to live, study, and work in several countries, including South Africa, New Zealand, and Australia.
