During several trips to Europe, Conrad retraced Hemingway’s footsteps in Paris and on the backroads of France. After studying with Ansel Adams and at the San Francisco Art Institute, Conrad produced his first picture book, Fabled Isles of the South Seas, considered one of the best portraits of the South Pacific.
