Esta tercera edición incluye nuevos contenidos, por ejemplo los referidos a los conceptos de cuidado y autocuidado, y la estimulación neurosensorial a través del masaje y el dolor en los niños. Al igual que en la segunda edición, cada capítulo ha sido revisado, actualizado y enriquecido por las autoras con la colaboración de enfermeras y académicas de la Escuela de Enfermería de la Pontificia Universidad Católica de Chile.
