About this book

Summary

Going back to the Niger Delta after several years living in other countries, Aisha Kuro does not see family matters, but a revelation about the secret letters of her grandfather, which reveal a massacre that occurred decades ago, involving oil, corruption, and betrayal. When the dark forces approach nearer, Aisha and her brother Timi have to decide between living in silence which will keep their family intact and telling the truth which may ruin them. Out of hazy branch crossings, armed roadblocks, and into boardrooms, command posts, and bases, their war evokes so many long-forgotten ghosts, and a battle is fought in which justice is denied, and blood, allegiance, and lives are sacrificed.
