About this audiobook
Bani Isra'il: The Chosen Nation is the seventh book in the Nations and Peoples of the Quran series. Unlike the previous six books covering destroyed nations, this book covers a nation that was saved, chosen, and tested. It traces the covenant and the favor, the golden calf as the defining breach, the refusal to enter the holy land and the forty years of wandering, the Sabbath test and its violation, the prophecy of the two corruptions and their punishments, the gift of scripture and the chain of prophets from Musa to Isa, the announcement of Ahmad, the faithful remnant who kept the covenant when the majority broke it, Bani Isra'il as the most frequently mentioned nation in the Quran, and reflections on the blessing and the burden, the quick return, the courage to enter, and the everyday test.
