It explores the Quranic account of As-Samiri as told in Surah Ta-Ha (20:85-97) and Surah Al-A'raf (7:148-154): the forty-night absence of Musa, the handful of dust from the angel's track, the calf that lowed but could not speak, the seduction of the people, the return and confrontation of Musa, and the permanent sentence of isolation pronounced upon the one who misused the sacred to create the false.
