The Origin Story
A reconstruction of human beginnings from the clay tablets to the scripturesBy David W. Smith, LPC
Length2h 28m
About this audiobook
What if the Bible was not the beginning of the story, but the ending of a much older one?
For four thousand years, clay tablets buried in the deserts of Iraq have been telling a version of human origins that mainstream religion never taught us. A council of visitors from the sky. A garden built between two rivers. A first man made from earth and from the blood of the gods. A great flood, remembered by a hundred cultures. And a war among the makers that never quite ended.
The Origin Story lays the Sumerian tablets and the Hebrew scriptures side by side and lets them speak. Genesis, Enuma Elish, Atrahasis, Gilgamesh, Enoch, the Gnostic gospels, and the Vedas emerge as one long, fractured document, told by many hands across many millennia, all pointing at the same buried truth.
