About this audiobook
In a fractured America torn apart by civil war, the fight for the soul of the nation reaches its climactic stage in "The Brushfires of Freedom," the explosive sixth installment in Blaine L. Pardoe's Blue Dawn series.
The United States has been divided into two nations—America and Newmerica—each claiming legitimacy over the country's destiny. As the war intensifies, former NSF Operative Caylee Leatrom embarks on a dangerous mission to assassinate the Newmerican Vice President before a Constitutional Convention can solidify the progressive regime's power. Meanwhile, Raul Lopez continues his crusade to liberate Social Quarantine camps where political dissidents are imprisoned and brutalized.
General Trip Reager leads American forces in a strategic push to reclaim California from Newmerican control, while Major Judy Mercury employs brilliant psychological warfare tactics to capture St. Louis without bloodshed. As the military struggle progresses across multiple fronts, we witness the human cost of totalitarianism through characters like Braylon Ironsides, who barely survived the horrors of reeducation camps, and Deja Jordan, a Social Enforcer who becomes an unwitting pawn in a deadly power game.
With the fate of the nation hanging in the balance, "The Brushfires of Freedom" examines the price of liberty and the dangers of unchecked government power in a taut, action-packed narrative that feels uncomfortably plausible in today's divided America.
If you enjoyed "People’s Republic," "American War," and "The Handmaid's Tale," you'll love "The Brushfires of Freedom."
