About this audiobook
**TESTIMONY: THE STREETS WERE MY TRAINING**
*A Poetic Cinema Archive of Washington Heights*
**By Vernon Snell**
What happens when the streets become your classroom and survival becomes your education?
Born in the Bronx and raised in Washington Heights, Vernon Snell takes readers through a lifetime of struggle, ambition, loss, survival, and transformation.
Through the voices of Benson, Vernon, and the Curator, this powerful collection blends raw testimony, personal reflection, poetry, psychology, and cultural history.
From the streets of the 1980s to entrepreneurship, family, addiction, betrayal, and the search for identity, each testimony reveals how life shapes the human mind.
More than a memoir, this is a living archive of a neighborhood, a generation, and a man determined to preserve the experiences that shaped him.
**The streets were his training. His survival became his testimony.**
*Poetic Cinema — Where lived experience becomes art.*r.
