But because I know what it feels like to sit with knowledge and not know what to do with it. And I want you to know that this book was not written from a perfect financial history. It was written from an honest one.
Growing up, I was not taught that money was corrupt or evil. My family believed in saving. They worked hard. They were responsible. But the actual mechanics of managing money, building it, and multiplying it were never taught to me. What I got instead was a swing between two very different philosophies that never quite connected.
On one side: “You only live once. Enjoy what you have.” On the other side: “Be careful. Money is scarce. Only spend what you absolutely need.” Those two messages ping-ponged back and forth in my mind for years, and the result was a confusing relationship with money that had no real foundation. Until NOW!
