I'm a woman in my thirties living with my husband, who is not highly sensitive, and our two-year-old son. Like many HSS-HSPs, I often come home completely exhausted after spending time outside. Then, almost out of nowhere, my curiosity comes alive again, and I'm ready to explore something new.
When my sensitive side is showing, people often say,
"You're so quiet and gentle."
When my curious and adventurous side comes through, they might say,
"You're always full of energy and ready to take action!"
Both descriptions are true, yet neither tells the whole story. Deep down, I often wondered why no single word seemed to describe who I really was.
