Each session gives you the passage from a public-domain translation, background on the first-century world, a plain explanation, questions to answer alone or aloud, one practical step and a short prayer. It is a single-book study with a daily rhythm and a leader's guide, not a survey of all 66 books, not a whole-Bible reading plan, not a forgiveness guide and not a book of prayers and declarations. Where Christians read a passage differently, the book says so respectfully and does not settle it.
