Eastern spiritual traditions describe a state of enlightenment with each specifying slightly different approaches to reach a common goal of enlightenment. They all recognize the importance of self-discovery paths in the pursuit of this enlightenment that can all be pursued by either an ascetic who renounces all worldly things and withdraw from the world to contemplate and meditate focused exclusively on spiritual things or a typical householder who is simultaneously engaged in the pursuit of both spiritual and regular worldly activities.
Those on the path of the householder without direct access to a guru becomes something of an improvised homegrown enlightenment experiment wherein they are left with the responsibility to address all the gaps in implementing the methodology and subsequent interpretation of results. This series illustrated how one such householder approached the interpretation of their results in his personal Homegrown Enlightenment experiment.
