William Dudley Pelley (1890-1965) was an American writer, spiritualist, and political activist. He was born in Lynn, Massachusetts and grew up in a family of journalists. Pelley worked as a journalist for various newspapers and magazines before becoming a successful fiction writer in the 1920s and 1930s. He was also involved in the spiritualist movement and claimed to have had numerous psychic experiences.
