William Simonds (October 30, 1822 – July 7, 1859) was an American author who usually used the pen-name Walter Aimwell. He was born in Charlestown, Massachusetts, and his father died when he was young. His chief work is "The Aimwell Stories," written under the pen-name of Walter Aimwell. These stories deal chiefly with New England farm-life.
