Tim Reed is a Master Mason of Lodge Saint John Number 618, in Hong Kong under the Scottish Constitution, District Grand Lodge of the Far East. He is a member of the Syria Shriners in Pittsburgh.
His family line runs Irish, Scottish, and English. That is the same Scots-Irish thread that carried the old beliefs across the water, where the bees were told of a death in the family and a bottle tree stood at the edge of the field. The customs in this book are drawn from that inheritance.
Called From Labor, Not Discharged is his first novel. He writes from Pittsburgh, under the ISZ Press imprint.
