Stuart Brent: 1912-2010. Mr. Brent had a television career in the 1950s. His show, "Books and Brent", was first aired on WBKB in Chicago, then was syndicated nationally. Its straightforward format was emblematic of the media's age of innocence: Mr. Brent simply talked about books. It was a subject of which he never tired. In his biography of his first bookstore, titled like the store, "The Seven Stairs".
