Scott James
Scott James is the bestselling author of two novels, The Sower and SoMa, a finalist for the Lambda Literary Award for Debut Fiction, written under the pen name Kemble Scott. In his weekly eponymous San Francisco column for the New York Times, James drew coverage from other national and international media, including the New Yorker, The Times (London), The Guardian, and many more. An alumnus of Columbia University’s Graduate School of Journalism, he’s been honored with three Emmy Awards for his work in television news. He lives in San Francisco and is cofounder of the Castro Writers’ Cooperative, known as the Coop, a coworking space for Bay Area writers.
