Sara Hirsh Bordo is an autoimmune-diagnosed, 15x award-winning documentary filmmaker and founder/CEO of Women Rising®, named “One of the Most Innovative, Interesting, and Purpose-Driven Women-Led Startups to Watch” by Inc. Magazine. With her films distributed across 35+ countries, Sara is currently the director of the Everyday Heroes documentary series for Toyota and espnW and a consulting producer of the ConnectHER Film Festival. Her previous roles include executive director of interactive marketing at Paramount Pictures and VP of digital marketing at MGM Studios. She lives in New Mexico and is Aunt Sissy to nine nieces and nephews and Godmother Sara to three godchildren. A portion of the author’s proceeds will be donated to the Society for Women’s Health Research.
