Rick Morton
Rick Morton is an award-winning journalist and writer. His first book, One Hundred Years of Dirt, was shortlisted for the 2019 Victorian Premier's Literary Awards and the 2019 National Biography Award, longlisted for the 2018 Walkley Book of the Year, and longlisted for both Biography of the Year and the Matt Richell Award for New Writer of the Year at the 2019 ABIA Awards. His second book was the critically acclaimed My Year of Living Vulnerably (2021) and his third book, Mean Streak was the winner of the 2025 Walkley Book Award and the Prime Minister's Literary Award 2025 as well as the People's Choice Prize Mark & Evette Moran Nib Literary Award 2025. It was also shortlisted for the ABIA Social Impact Book of the Year 2025 and the Australian Political Book of the Year Award 2025.
